THE LIVESTOCK SHOW IS MOVING
In 2024 the East Texas State Fair will only be able to have the junior shows. These shows will be held in Athens at the Henderson County Fair Complex.
ENTRIES
Entries will begin online starting July 15th. Entry deadline is Friday, Aug. 16, 2024. Junior entries must be made by the ag teacher or county agents. Junior entry paperwork should be postmarked by Aug. 21. We will accept parent checks with the entries due to school business office not open yet.
The Henderson County Fair Complex does not allow any outside shavings or pellets. All pellets or shavings must be bought at the show and are $8.00 per bag.
RV spaces are available on the grounds. There are 42 - 50 amp spaces, 62 - 30 amp spaces and are $40.00 per night. Please contact Henderson County Fair Complex 903-670-3324 about a week before the show to reserve a spot.
Lambs and goats will be allowed and preferred to be shown off of trailer. Minimum pens available.
IMPORTANT: NO POP UP TENTS ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS!
FYI:
Lactating dairy cattle have to be tested and have to health papers. (see PDF from Texas Animal Health Commission)
All other animals DO NOT have to have health papers.
Junior show animals are NOT required to be Validated.
Junior Heifer Show is a Blow and Go Show.
Cable halters and pronged chains are prohibited.
NO pop up tents allowed on grounds.
NO outside shavings or pellets
